AKA the best in metal, punk, hardcore and alternative, plus: record store day releases, indie, local, country, death, pop and reggae/ska record/cds, along with reissues and/or vinyl only releases from 2012...
I was going to break this down to the TOP TEN of each genre. But then I would have had to decide what genre Torche belongs in... it was tough enough determining the cutoff for 100, never mind categorizing...
Originally 300 releases were under consideration. This list represents the diversity that was 2012 in my aural explorations and entertainment. These records/cds/downloads made 2012 pretty sweet (musically).
Looking forward to finding out what I missed in 2012 (by reading other's top lists of the year). Looking forward to more discovery!
