EHG-Ringworm-Enabler Philly June 1 2014

I hope you enjoy these photos I took June 1, 2014 at Philadelphia's Underground Arts. The show was one I will treasure. From the brutal metal/hardcore of RINGWORM, to the ear-wrecking, over the top punk meets hardcore meets metal exorcism that is ENABLER, to the preeminent stoner sludge metal of EYEHATEGOD this was a tour I wasn't going to miss. I was also treated to experiencing two Philly bands I had not seen before, Sadgiquacea and Sunburster.

SUNBURSTER

ENABLER recently released their LP "LA FIN ABSOLUE DU MONDE". Bought a copy on vinyl at the show. I'd been looking forward to seeing Enabler as I have been loving this band for the last couple of years. They did not disappoint.

My write up of Enabler's "Shift of Redemption" at this link: http://frankfoe.blogspot.com/2013/03/enabler-shift-of-redemption-download-7.html

Enabler's "All Hail the Void" made #21 on my best of 2012, see full list of 100 at this link: http://frankfoe.blogspot.com/2012/12/frank-foes-top-100-music-releases-of.html

I had the pleasure of seeing EHG in Allentown PA in 2011. Write up and photos at this link: http://frankfoe.blogspot.com/2011/12/eyehategod-live-jimmys-place-allentown.html Glad I got to see the newer songs mixed in with the classics in Philly in 2014. If you haven't experienced EHG live, you need to go. I love how this band enjoys themselves as much as the audience. For instance, I love that guitarist Jimmy Bower applauded after nearly ever song along with the audience. I suppose he was having as great a time as the rest of us.
