There will never be another "Blood Guts and Pussy". The time was right. The music was perfect. The lyrics magical. The cover artwork spectacular. The fact that it was on Sub Pop added to the legend. One of the best records of 1990. Unquestionably, one of the best records ever. 25 years ago? Oh geez I am old. 

With that out of the way, I am a fan of all things Dwarves. "The Dwarves Invented Rock & Roll" kicks from start to finish. I listen to this over and over and over.

Whether Dwarves are playing perfectly hook-laden pop punk or driving the drunk-violent-hardcore punk train over the cliff. It is all wonderful and fits together. Fourteen songs in 26 minutes. Yup.

"Trailer Trash" and "Fun To Try"  are masterful garage, bubblegum power pop rockers.

"Get Up & Get High", "Dead on the Floor" and "Bleed Alright" will melt your freakin' face off. 

"Hate Rock", "Anything You Want" and "Sluts of the USA" will melt your face while you are chewing bubble gum.

"Fiction" simply kills. Wow.

"Armageddon Party" is a classic. A huge song.

If you don't have "Blood Guts and Pussy", obtain it, then obtain this.

"The Dwarves Invented Rock & Roll", was designed to play loud, often.
